12-month Points Validity
Starting 1st April 2024, Changi Rewards points earned will be valid for 12 months from the date of deposit, through the last day of the final month. Any unutilised points during this period will expire and be forfeited. i.e Points earned on 13th July, 23rd July or 30th July 2024 will expire on 31st July 2025.
When will points earned before 1st April 2024 and after 1st April 2024 expire?
Changi Rewards points earned before 1st April 2024 will expire on 30th June 2024 – the last day of the final grace period. From 1st April 2024, points must be redeemed within 12 months from the date of deposit.
i.e. Points deposited on 1st April 2024, 15th April 2024 and 30th April 2024, must all be redeemed by 30th April 2025
When will the rolling 12 months points expiry dates be known?
During the period between 1st April to 30th June 2024, any points earned will display an expiry of 30th April 2025. Points earned from 1st April 2024 will reflect their rolling 12-month expiry dates starting only from 1st July 2024, after the grace period has ended.
How can I benefit from greater flexibility in using points under the new rolling 12-month policy?
You enjoy a full year to accumulate and utilise your rewards from the month you earned the points. Changi Rewards points earned on 1 Aug 2024, 15 Aug 2024, 31 Aug 2024, will all expire on 31st Aug 2025 (vs fixed expiry date of 31st Mar 2025).
Can I combine the points earned before 1st April 2024 and after 1st April 2024 for redemption?
No, points earned before and after 1st April 2024 cannot be combined for redemption.
Is there a grace point period between 1st April – 30th June every year?
No, starting from Calendar year 2025 there is no more grace period for points redemption.
What will happen to my unutilised points which I earned during 1st April 2023 - 31st March 2024?
You will be able to redeem reward items from the Rewards Catalogue during the final 3-month grace period from 1st April 2024 – 30th June 2024, with any unutilised points earned during 1st April 2023 – 31st March 2024. From 1st July 2024, any unutilised points earned during this period will expire and be forfeited.
