Explore the vibrant ethnic enclaves of Chinatown and Kampong Gelam, take photos against architectural gems, and discover the true cultural diversity that defines this modern city.

To enhance your experience, you may also choose to add-on a visit into a special living gallery and witness how people lived in 1950s Singapore for a more complete experience. Please note that add-on experience is optional and comes with an additional cost, at your own expense. Payment will be collected during the tour.

Service Counters
Please stay in the transit area and do not clear immigration

Terminal 2: Level 2, Transit Area, (near Gate F50)
Terminal 3: Level 2, Transit Area, (near Gate A1 - A8)
Other Terminals: Please take the skytrain within the Transit area and proceed to Terminal 3 for registration.

Central Business District

Singapore’s financial and commercial district impresses with its modern skyscrapers.

Situated in the middle is Singapore’s most historic Hawker Centre, Lau Pa Sat, home to a variety of local hawker fare and a bustling night street food scene.

Chinatown (30-minute stopover)

Chinatown is a culturally rich precinct featuring a mix of pre-war shophouses and iconic places of worship. Explore street murals painted by local artists that depict the daily lives of locals in the past.

Get a glimpse of the various iconic landmarks of Singapore scattered around Marina Bay. Keep this modern view in mind and contrast it with what you will see in ‘olden Singapore’ later.

Singapore River

Known as the lifeline of Singapore, the Singapore River and its quays were where the economy of Singapore began. You will be able to see the former godowns and warehouses along Boat Quay and Clarke Quay as you cross the river.

Kampong Gelam (30-minute stopover)

One of Singapore’s oldest urban quarters. Kampong Gelam is an alluring neighbourhood where age-old traditions meet trendy lifestyles. With a strong Malay-Arab influence, admire the golden dome of the Sultan Mosque set amidst modern art galleries and cafes.
