APIC stands for Airport Pass In Changi.

As part of CAG’s continuous initiative to improve security for our airport community, we are upgrading our airport pass application and access control system starting from Q4 2023.

The new access control system, APIC (Airport Pass in Changi), is designed to increase productivity and convenience to the airport community, with these benefits:

  • Seamless: Online application integrated with SingPass and MyInfo
  • Secure: Enhanced personal data security with better user control of personal data submission
  • Convenient: All day collection of airport pass at self-serve kiosks located at T2 main pass office, on collection date selected by user
  • Fast and Smooth: Improved access control flow with faster fingerprint scanning and near 100% biometric enrolment

The APIC Enrolment Exercise for the airport community was successfully conducted from August 28 to October 20, 2023, at multiple locations, followed by an extension from November 6 to November 11, 2023.

If you did not manage to enroll during these periods and still require access to security-restricted areas from Q1 2024 onwards, you are required to renew your airport pass. We urge you to renew your airport pass promptly to avoid any potential inconvenience.

Please note that all access control gantries within the airport premises are scheduled to be changed out by Q1 2024. To maintain your access to security-restricted areas after this upgrade, you are required to be enrolled in the APIC system.

The APIC Pass Application Portal is set to be much more user-friendly and efficient compared to the current Pass Application Portal.
